I continued with my search for an RP over these last two nights.
It’s astounding to me how many survival horror games there are. What’s up with that? I understand that putting your character in an extreme situation can bring out new and interesting aspects of them, but there are other ways to do that besides being chased by monsters!
And they are not very good for those of us who play characters who can barely handle day-to-day life in the regular world.
I’m currently mulling over apping Pete at Paradisa. Thus far it seems the best game I’ve looked at because a.) it won’t just cause him to have a meltdown and die, b.) part of the premise of the game is that your character loses something precious to them upon arrival. It could be an item, an ability, or a memory. Well, since Pete doesn’t really have either of the former two (they don’t have computers there), it would pretty much have to be his memories of Billy. But that might be the only way that he can successfully exist on his own, anyways. It’s also the only game I’ve seen so far that has other VB characters, although it’s Brock and Molotov. Maybe joining as Pete would get other people to app VB characters?
